Ted H. Warlick |
As a member of the Richmond African American Scholarship Fund (RAASF) since its inception, in 2002, and as Board Chair of the Fund the past two years, Ted Warlick has been instrumental in the dramatic expansion of the organization's profile and reach in the Richmond community. In addition to the year-to-year strategic planning activities for the fund, Ted continues to develop relationships with individuals, professional organizations and corporations throughout the Richmond community to expand participation in Fund activities. Through their involvement, the Fund hopes to achieve its long-term goal of building a self-funding endowment for scholarships and scholarship activities. Ted also takes an active role mentoring scholarship recipients by providing academic and professional advice throughout their college years. Ted has 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. For the past eight years, Ted has worked for Genworth Financial, Inc. and its predecessor, GE Financial Assurance in Richmond, Virginia. For the past six years, Ted has served as a Vice President in the Product Development Department of the Retirement Income and Investments Division, with responsibility for a broad range of product lines, including Individual and Group Retirement Annuities, Life Insurance, and Long Term Care Insurance. Prior to his tenure at Genworth, Ted led teams for top insurance companies such as Transamerica and Sunamerica. |
