Lewanda Gallimore has served as Board member and Financial Director of the Richmond African American Scholarship Fund (RAASF) since June 2003. Lewanda oversees RAASF financial affairs and is responsible for the reporting, management, and disbursement of funds. In addition, Lewanda collaborates with fellow Board members to identify and execute on opportunities to expand community reach and sponsorship support, has co-chaired the Annual Scholarship Awards Recognition Committee since 2005, and maintains informal mentoring relationships with scholarship recipients.
Lewanda has 14 years of experience in the financial services industry and currently serves as Senior Financial Analyst within Genworth Financial’s Retirement and Protection segment supporting the Institutional Retirement and Managed Money Guarantee Solutions product lines. In this role, Lewanda provides finance leadership and support for product development, platform and plan implementation, strategic planning, and quarterly financial close activities. Lewanda has held previous roles within Genworth Financial and GE Capital with responsibilities in the areas of annual company and separate account statutory financial statement preparation, audited GAAP separate account financial statement preparation, and product finance.
Lewanda received her Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce with a concentration in Accounting from the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce in May 1994. Lewanda is also a 1997 graduate of GE Capital’s Financial Management Program.
