Ashley Cousins

Ashley CousinsAshley Cousins is a 2007 advanced studies graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School. Throughout her high school experience, Ashley exhibited tremendous focus and self-assuredness that fostered admiration by faculty, family, and students alike.

Ashley is highly regarded not only as a scholar who has handled the most rigorous academic curriculum, but also as an individual with great personality and leadership ability that easily surpassed her peers, not only academically but also in critical thinking. Ashley has been recognized with significant awards and honors such as winning the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts and Thomas Jefferson High School poetry contestes and by demonstrating strong leadership as a memer of the leadership club. Ashley was a member of the track & field varsity team at Thomas Jefferson and an active member of numerous student based organizations, including the Student Council Association, Future Business Leaders of America, Debate Team, and Project Discovery.

In addition to her academic prowess, Ashley has been actively involved in many extra-curricular activities demonstrating her desire to build and enhance leadership skills, give back to the community via volunteerism, and explore employment opportunities that continually foster an environment of learning.

Ashley is regarded as a rare student that teachers will remember for a lifetime due to her work ethic, dedication, and integrity.

Ashley will be attending Spelman College in the Fall, where she will major in Economics.
