Shamara Walton is a 2009 honor student and graduate of Richmond Community High School. Throughout her high school years, Shamara has excelled not only academically, but also in the community. Her passion for children and health has not only directed her future path, but has also steered her community involvement as well.
Shamara's academic accolades include all honors core classes, Scholar Roll, and Honor Roll. Her school and extra-curricular activities include active membership in the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), appointment as Senior Co-Chair Secretary, and participation in the youth usher board at her church.
In order to gain experience in the career field of her dreams, Shamara has held internships at Bon Secours Hospital, the Virginia Department of Health, and Pediatric Associates. She has also served as a volunteer at the Johnston-Willis Hospital, where she earned over 150 hours of community service.
Shamara has been described as a hard working, dependable, and focused student who has a strong desire for academic excellence and knowledge.
Shamara will be attending Hampton University in the fall where she will major in nursing.
